The cable car is in operation. 8:45 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Rides every 15 minutes or as needed. Last ascent at 4:45 p.m. The Ebenalp mountain restaurant is open. All safety barriers on the hiking trails have been removed.

Inns all around Ebenalp

“Provisions” is what you call the nourishment you bring with you in your backpack. “Cuisine”, what you experience in the inns around Ebenalp. It’s simple fare, but sublime. Without a lot of pomp. But it does have something special – its relationship with the region. Our innkeepers cultivate a down-to-earth gastronomic tradition: honest dishes, hearty classics and traditional Appenzeller specialties. It’s understandable that you’d like to linger a little longer over your meal, so be sure to reserve your overnight lodgings, or – as we could say with less modesty – your personal hideaway in the mountains.
