Ebenalp is also the ideal starting point for hiking into the impressive Alpstein region, the place where Appenzellerland shows you just how special it is, with its gentle alpine meadows, rugged rock formations and spectacular views.

We have put together 11 suggested hiking itineraries for you, ranging from easy to challenging, to help you plan your own excursion. Keep them in hand, as your legs do their thing. Along the way, you’ll encounter a number of mountain inns around Ebenalp where you can rest and refresh those tired calves.
